Jack P. Broadbent is the Executive Officer for the Bay Area Air Quality Management District in the 9-county Bay Area region. He has overseen passage of updated CEQA guidelines that help cities reduce harmful air pollutants, created a $3 million dollar grant fund to initiate climate planning efforts, and was the first District in the nation to charge greenhouse gas fees to offset costs. Prior to joining the Air District he served 3 years as Air Division Director at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 9, and was the Deputy Executive Officer for the South Coast Air Quality Management District.
