During the meeting, Reserve staff will provide programmatic and policy updates and guidance for the project registration process, complete with helpful reporting and verification tips. The last hour of the meeting has been reserved specifically for forest project protocol updates and guidance. Climate Regulation 101

Description:
This workshop will help attendees gain an understanding of recent developments in climate regulation, and the variety of regulatory tools the U.S. and States will use to manage and reduce GHG emissions. The workshop will feature presentations by experts on EPA’s regulation of GHGs under the Clean Air Act, California’s implementation of AB 32, and other related topics. There will be an interactive question and answer session following each presentation.

Reserve Verifiers Meeting

In conjunction with the most important carbon conference in North America, Navigating the American Carbon World, the Reserve is also holding its Annual Verifiers Meeting. This meeting will update verifiers on the Reserve’s reporting and verification program, and provide helpful verification tips. Verifiers in attendance will receive updates on the Verification Program Manual, as well as updates from ANSI and ARB. There will also be an opportunity for verifiers to provide programmatic feedback. Reserve verifiers are welcome to join us on April 13th, and please note that no RSVP/registration is required in order to attend this event.

WCI Stakeholders Meeting

Representatives of the WCI Partner jurisdictions will present an update on the status of the WCI regional emissions trading program and other activities of the WCI. Following the presentation, audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the most recent developments of the WCI program. California & WCI Offset Markets: Opportunities and Risks

This three-hour workshop will highlight the risks and opportunities involved within the project development and offset credit cycles. Workshop attendees will have an opportunity to hear Point Carbon’s assessment on the outlook and dynamics of the California/WCI offsets market, discuss project cycle risks and their impacts on the market and prices, as well as go through a case study focusing on an Emissions Reduction Purchase Agreement.
