Brian Shillinglaw manages New Forests’ policy and regulatory affairs program, with an emphasis on analysis and advocacy related to forest carbon regulations and climate legislation in California, the U.S. and internationally. With over USD $1 billion in assets under management, New Forests is a leading global investor in forest carbon and sustainable forestry. Brian holds an A.B. in Social Studies from Harvard University, a J.D. from Stanford Law School and a M.S. from the Interdisciplinary Program on Environment and Resources at Stanford University. He is based in San Francisco and is a member of the State Bar of California.
